The non-profit Baby2Baby held its star-studded gala in Los Angeles on Saturday, where Academy Award-winner Salma Hayek was honored for her philanthropy and activism.

She is the recipient of this year's Giving Tree Award, which is given to a public figure who has demonstrated exceptional commitment to improving the lives of children in need around the world.

Now a veteran of red carpet events, Hayek worked all the different angles for photographers, while showcasing the fitted full-length number.Rounding out her overall look, the Oscar-nominated actress got a boost in height by wearing black platform heels.

She wore her raven locks in an effortless half-up, half-down style with pieces left out to frame her stunning face.
